5 in 1 Leather Craft Ruler, Plus Free Leather Thickness Gauge

This is a 5 in 1 ruler set. The ruler is a full 10" Center Ruler, on one end it has the corners rounded to help with routing the corners of your leather projects. On the other end, it is a belt tip template with the hole in alignment for the standard 5 hole belt end. This is based off a standard 1 1/2" belt with the 3rd hole, being the center of your belt length, For example if you need a 36" belt, you would measure form the buckle side of the belt to the 35" mark, lay the clear plastic Template down on your mark, and you can easily mark all 5 holes for the belt as well as the belt tip. 

I have found over the past 25 years of doing leather work, a ruler for a straight edge to make straight cuts is very important. I have also used a center ruler for many years, to get the precise distance, for placing snaps, holes, etc on projects. This design came to me one morning and I thought, it was such wonderful design that could help so many other leather crafters, we decided to start making them to help others. I also end up with a lot of scrap after doing lots of leather craft projects and orders. We are throwing in a leather thickness gauge to help make this a very nice, affordable Kit. 

Since the products are made with clear acrylic, you can easily measure and see through the 5 in 1 tool to make sure you are cutting where you need to be, especially important if you have a template etc. Being able to see through the tool makes life so much easier. The item will ship with the paper coating on it to protect it and make sure it arrives at your shop as scratch free as possible, The paper will peal off each piece with some patients. It is basically like a painter tape type protective cover that removes easily and does not leave a sticky residue. The tools can be cleaned with common cleaners if you decide it needs a little cleaning. 

This tool set is designed by me personally and I believe it is one of the best tools to have at your craft or work station. You can paint the engraved numbers on the ruler if you choose to. To keep cost down for our customers, we have skipped this step since some folks won't care if the marks are painted or not. I have been using this tool for quite sometime and with the lighting in my shop, I have not seen it necessary to paint the letters and numbers so I have not. The few pictures above in the posting are the ones I use regularly and you can see they are holding up nicely with normal continual use. However with that said, this is made with 1/8 inch plastic and is not intended to be used as a ball bat. If you are like us and have a peg board at or near your work station, we have holes placed in the top of each tool so you can hang them from a standard peg board style l bracket.
